Philipp Hager

Hey there! I'm a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Booking.com and a recent Ph.D. graduate from the IRLab at the University of Amsterdam, where I was supervised by Maarten de Rijke and Onno Zoeter. I was an ELLIS Industry PhD fellow and part of the Mercury Machine Learning Lab, a collaboration between TU Delft, the University of Amsterdam, and Booking.com.

My Ph.D. focused on training ranking systems from implicit user feedback, and in my new role at Booking.com, I work bidding optimization and auction modeling in performance marketing.
